When a girl gets an education, she more likely to get her vaccines, escape child marriage, have access to jobs, earn a higher income...and she is able to dream. Education changes the trajectory of your entire life, and together we can make a real difference in the lives of these young girls.
UNESCO warns that, without urgent action, 12 million children will never spend a day at school. In 2018, 258.4 million children, adolescents and youth were out of school. Of the 59 million out-of-school children of primary school age, 32 million, or more than one-half, live in sub-Saharan Africa. More than 1 out of 5 primary aged children in Sub-Saharan Africa will never walk into a classroom. These numbers are unacceptably high.
